Tammin Sursok (Jenna Marshall) didn’t get a lot of screen time in Pretty Little Liars Season 3, but she apparently got some time in the spotlight in her new film, Sleeping Around. The Australian actress was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film in the New York International Film Festival, and we’re so happy for her!

The film, described as a “screwball sex comedy that follows two couple and their ten rules to a happy, healthy, and open relationship,” also stars Jesse Bradford, Michael McKean, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Chris Marquette. You can check out the trailer for the scandalous film above.

We’re really excited for Tammin, who seems genuinely grateful for all of the success she’s had since making the jump from Aussie television to American television and film. We hope she snags the film fest award and gets lots more silver screen opportunities — as long as we keep getting to see her slither around on PLL as quasi-villainess Jenna.

She’s probably best known for playing conniving, mean girl Alison DiLaurentis on “Pretty Little Liars,” but, in reality, 17-year-old Sasha Pieterse is as sweet as pie.

The rising starlet arrived on the big screen at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in “G.B.F.” — which is directed by Darren Stein, the man behind cult hit “Jawbreaker” — a heartwarming, yet comical portrayal of high school and the trials and tribulations of coming out as a homosexual teen. Pieterse plays Fawcett, a popular girl determined to make her high school’s first openly gay teen her gay best friend.

Filled with fresh-faced excitement, Pieterse, who admitted she hasn’t done many interviews yet, sat down with Yahoo! Movies to talk about her first big role and hanging out in NYC.

How did you get involved in “G.B.F”?
Our process was really cool because a year before we shot the movie, I read the script. They asked if I wanted to come in and do a table read for investors and I said okay. I read the script and fell in love with it. I was like, ‘Oh my god. This is amazing.’ Michael [J. Willett] and I are the originals from that read, so when we saw each other on set, it was a reunion. We fell in love with everyone.

Was it as fun filming it?
It was amazing. It was such a short shoot. We shot for about a month and we got so close. It is a very unique movie and there really hasn’t been anything done like this before. There are a lot of cool moments in this movie. There are outrageous things and the fashion is so great, but at the same time there is such a cool, heartwarming story that everyone will see. They’ll love both.

Do you have a real life G.B.F.?
I do. I have two that I’ve had for a long time and they’re amazing.

In the movie you went to prom. Who would be your dream prom date?
I feel so boring when people ask me this question, because I honestly don’t have one. When I watch movies or TV, I am like, ‘wow that guy is really cute, I really like him,’ but I don’t really have one person that I would die to go to something with. There are so many hot guys.

Did you go to your prom?
I didn’t. I was home-schooled and I graduated super-early. But I’ve always had older friends so I got to go to all their dances. I got the best of both worlds. I had the choice to go to prom with a friend of mine and I decided not to because I was filming very close to that. But red carpets and the “G.B.F” prom were so much better.

Your role in “G.B.F” and “Pretty Little Liars” are fairly similar…
Fawcett is a little less evil, but they are similar. Allison is a very mean, manipulative – there’s a lot of layers to her and she’s different – and Fawcett is sort of different as well, but their mean girl mentality is very similar. I was really worried because I’d never done comedy before. You have to be really good to accomplish comedy, so I was very intimidated.

Have you ever been to New York?
I have been to New York before. This is my third time.

What’s your favorite place to visit in NYC?
There is a coffee place right here that I love. I found it a while ago and it has organic coffees and pastries. It is French and I love it.

Do you like bagels? What do you put on your bagel?
I do like bagels. I like cream cheese and cranberries. It is really good.

Have you ever been almost hit by a bike messenger in NYC?
I’ve almost been hit by a lot of things in New York City. I am pretty sure I have almost been hit by a bike messenger before. (Laughs).

Have you ever tried street meat?
Ugh, yeah. Not in New York City, but I was super-hungry and I was coming out of the Hollywood Bowl and I got one of those. I was really nervous, but I came out of it okay.

Who is the most famous you’ve seen, besides yourself, in NYC?
Besides myself, please! (Laughs). Let’s see. Well, my manager’s daughter is Blake Lively and I consider her amazing. I think that’s a good example.

Have you ever gotten your heel stuck in a subway grate?
Yes! It scared the crap out of me. I got my heel stuck in a drain as I was crossing the street and cars were coming. It was really scary. A girl in heels in New York is a hard combination.

How much is a date with “Pretty Eyes” worth? The current bid in a charity auction to win a date with Pretty Little Liars star Keegan Allen (Toby) is up to $1,350!

Keegan is auctioning himself off to raise money for the UCLA Lab School, “an innovative school for children and a laboratory for teachers and researchers.”
The auction is hosted by Charitybuzz, a non-profit company that raises money for various non-profit organizations through online charity auctions with celebrities like Keegan. The winner will get a lovely afternoon lunch date with Keegan (and his agent) at The Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The auction ends on next Friday, May 3, and will culminate in a live auction. For those with deep pockets, the estimated value of the date is $2,500, but you’ll probably have to fight a few Toby fans off to win the lunch. There have already been 11 online bids for the date.

ABC Family’s hit drama Pretty Little Liars has released its first poster for the new season.
The four main Liars — Emily (Shay Mitchell), Aria (Lucy Hale), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) — are all seen donning the infamous red coat, in reference to the events of the fiery season-three finale when it was revealed that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) may be Red Coat.

The one-sheet also features the new tagline for the season: “Liars Unite.”

Keegan Allen, who plays Toby, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter the day after the finale, offering hints to the “exciting” season-four opener in June. The episode, he said at the time, picks up “moments later,” with viewers seeing “how [the girls have] responded to Red Coat or where they go with Red Coat.”

And with a spinoff, Ravenswood, premiering in October, what will be in store for the Liars this summer?
