@Brenda33331: Give us something on PLL please!
Prepare for some heartbreak because Pretty Little Liars’ core four is breaking apart when the hit show returns in January! About a month has passed since Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) were arrested and they “are at each others’ throats!” Meow! Emily in particular has been iced out completely, which might leave her vulnerable to “A.”

‘Pretty Little Liars’ EP on Halloween special: ‘Nothing we ever do is coincidental. That’s all I should say’

By: Ice   •   October 20, 2011   •   Filed Under: Interviews, Pretty Little Liars   •   0 Replies

The Halloween prequel of “Pretty Little Liars” revealed a lot of secrets, so it’s no surprise it was called “The First Secret.” Executive producer Marlene King tells Zap2it it was titled that because it was the first secret for all the girls.

“It’s the first secret – the fact that Ali gets the first text from ‘A’ and we see Aria and Alison see that Byron was having the affair. And Alison realizes Emily is probably gay and she steals the election ballots for Spencer, that Hanna’s mom had met Wilden before. It’s a lot of first secrets,” says King.

“Alison has a secret too. She offered Jenna asylum or basically an invitation to join their group and Jenna turned it down. I don’t think Alison ever told that to the girls, she kept that from them,” King adds.

So is that what sparked “The Jenna Incident,” when Alison blinded Jenna?

“It probably ignited a deep-seated resentment in Alison that she never shared with the PLLs. I think Jenna really didn’t know what she was dealing with with Alison. I think they are very similar girls, but Alison is more manipulative and conniving than Jenna ever understood,” says King.

Speaking of Jenna, at the end of the episode was that Officer Wilden we saw her talking to? We posited to King that perhaps Jenna met Garrett through Officer Wilden – or was involved with Wilden herself.

“That’s going to play out in future episodes. We’re going to find out if they know each other,” says Kinig. “That’s something else we try to do in the episode. We gave fun little nuggets of information that shored up some things we already know, but we also used the episode to plant a lot of clues and mystery details that we’re going to reveal in the next 12 episodes when we come back on the air.”

More mysteries. Excellent. But one mystery whose fire was just fueled by the episode is the identity of “A.” Was “A” the one who attacked Alison in the abandoned house?

“In my mind, that is ‘A,’ says King. “The person taking off the mask in the very last shot of the show is most likely … A-related, I’ll say that.”

The ending shot was definitely creepy, but we also had questions about the opening. What was up with the story Alison told about the girl who killed her sister? It made us suspicious of Alison’s life. Surely that is not coincidental.

“You should be suspicious about her life and it isn’t coincidental. Nothing we ever do is coincidental. That’s all I should say,” says King.

Innnteresting. We can’t wait for “Pretty Little Liars” to return in January 2012. What did you think of the Halloween episode, “PLL” fans?

New Spoiler for the Halloween Episode!

By: Ice   •   October 14, 2011   •   Filed Under: Pretty Little Liars, Spoilers   •   0 Replies

Pretty Little Liars!!! I need to know about this Halloween episode. It looks amazing. — Jo
It looks that way because it’s going to be! Sasha Pieterse dished to EW earlier this week that the episode will have many reveals. (More on that in a sneak peek next week!) Meanwhile, she also said that the Halloween episode will find Alison’s relationship with her brother Jason “not as broken.” “Alison and Jason definitely have a twisted relationship. As the second half of the season goes on, you’ll see why. I can’t say why yet. We want to give you so much, but we can’t!”

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Halloween Special: 5 Reasons To Watch!

By: Ice   •   October 12, 2011   •   Filed Under: Pretty Little Liars, Spoilers   •   0 Replies

I’ll save the tricks for Alison, but here’s your treat: An A-worthy sneak peek of the Oct. 19 Halloween special!

We’re just seven days away from the premiere of the Pretty Little Liars Halloween special, and as someone fortunate enough to have seen it (three times), I promise you it has everything a PLL fan could possibly want:

Hefty Hanna returns: The episode takes place a full year before the events of season one, so Hanna (Ashley Benson) is fully stuffed and ready to strut her plus-sized stuff through the streets of Rosewood. God, I missed that waddle.

Jenna isn’t just crazy — she’s also crazy-hot: Yes, it appears that before her sight was taken from her in that tragic fire, Rosewood’s creepiest floutist had a bit of a slutty streak. This episode really makes me hope Jenna (Tammin Sursok) gets her sight back. Her death-stares would bring the ladies of Revenge to their knees — and that’s really saying something.

New ‘A’ suspects: I promise that once this special is over, you’re going to think everyone in Rosewood is “A.” The characters in this episode caused me to raise my eyebrows so high, they’re not even on my face anymore. I look like Voldemort now. (Thanks, ABC Family.)

So many tears: Halloween may be a time for tricks, but in Rosewood, it’s also a time for drama. From Spencer (Troian Bellisario) to Aria (Lucy Hale) to Mr. Montgomery (Chad Lowe), nearly everyone sheds a tear or two at some point during the episode. Who knows, YOU might even need to keep a box of tissues handy, yourself!

Dramatic foreshadowing: If only the good people of Rosewood knew then what they know now. With lines like “Someday she’ll get what’s coming for her” and “If I told you that, I’d have to kill you” longtime fans will be rewarded for their faithful viewing all night.

OK, that’s all I’m going to give you for now.
